Your take on this deer

This is a spike that I have pics from for two years now. Last year he had the exact same rack...one decent spike, and another that is only about half the size of the other. If these are the genes he is passing, I am going to want to get him out of there. Like I said...the exact same antlers two years in a row. Thanks.

Here is another pic of different deer from the same spot. Same thing...long spike, and messed up one on the other side. So what do ya think?? Thanks for your input.

I'm wondering if your not mistaken. He doesn't look like a 2.5 year old body wise. Could be it's just what your 1.5 year olds have...how's your 2.5 year old deer looking?

This spot produces some nice deer, and some nice 2-3 year old deer. I noticed this guy had the same racj twice...at least I am pretty sure it was him. But if you look at my second pic, you can see another deer with basically the same thing. I posted another pic today "deer pic" and that is a buck from the same spot. Just wondering if you thought is was genetics by any chance.

I agree take him. If you have a young hunter around would be fun to try and cam him or her shooting this buck. GOOD LUCK!! Let us know what happens.

I would say wether or not these are the same deer the genetics need to go...
