Default Non-Typical Shed...

I was walking back from picking up a camera in the woods and came across this shed... It's kinda Chewed up and hard to figure out which side it is, but it's almost straight... Looks to me like it grew straight off the right side of his head... Looks like could be a 3 1/2 year old only based on the base of the antler... Very Cool though, maybe I'll get a crack at him this fall, at least see him...

I would'nt think of it as a non typical at all.....more than likely it was bent while still in velvet, neat to find sheds though

What is your Def. of a Non-typical...?? Curious...

I thought it would be because of what looks to be a Drop-tine, and I have never seen a rack that looks to have grown straight out with no forward main-beams...

The part that was under the leaves is still brown, I'm not sure how you tell how old it is, but I would think it's from this year...

That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw the pic...I thought it was an elk shed. Looks "big" in the pic by itself, but as soon as you held it and we could put some depth and dimension with it...you could tell it was smaller than I originally anticipated.
