Bow season!!!!

Yesterday I picked up my bow from the shop, I got a Wisker biskit rest put on and a dozen Gold Tips ready to go. First 3D shoot is next month. So this afternoon I'll be getting back to practicing again. Ahh, back to the normal days of OFF SEASON Cabin Fever!

I'll be in the same position soon as Maryland's season closes the end of the month. Then it's time to start going over the equipment,watching hunting tapes, going to hunting shows and counting the days down.
I'm thinking about trying for Spring Turkey with the bow this year.

Q2MD, What part of Marland is in till the end of the month? I go up to Oldtown (South East of Cumberland)and hunt the first week of Rifle season. I used to live there too.

All of Maryland, bow season runs from Sept. 15th to Jan. 31st.

Yeah, their is some good bowhunting places that are open to the public now. Gunpowder State Park, Patapsaco,Susquehanna each have certain areas open to bowhunting only.

well if you want to freeze your cahones off that or get stuck on an island somewhere..bring it on <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>! Actually I cant do anymore hunting unless I can get a 4day to run up and hunt bou. I really dont care to hunt this late and my wife and I have plenty of meat so there is no sense to go! I would like to get to south east ak for deer sometime soon, actually it looks like its going to happen this fall, hopefully I dont get my hopes up to high <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>! There are better and bigger people from ak on this board but if you wanted to humor the thought of sharing a camp you are more then welcomed to!

you have got to be kidding you can hunt year round for deer???? man oh man... i do not think i would be married if it was that way in IL. she can barly handle the 3 1/2 mounths that we get. although i made her a 100 page venison cook book and she is starting to warm up to it now. in fact she is going to get a bow in the spring. hopefully she will get into it enough to practice with me and maybe go to a couple of 3-d shoots.
