West Virginia Scouting Trip

Just got back from a scouting trip in West Virginia with a buddy and his uncle. His uncle took me to the stand that he will be putting me in and therewas a pile of bear crap already in front of my stand about 10 yards away. The hair on my neck and arms stood up,as i have never hunted bear before.does anybody have any tips for a rookie bear hunter??

What county?? We have roughly 1500 acres in Preston County, and lots of bear. The orchard I archery hunt from usually has 5 or 6 bear. Each year they seem to pattern differently. Last year they were nocturnal, but this year all my game cam pics are 2-4 pm. Do you have a cam to see when they are coming in?

What county will you be hunting. West Virginia has some great bear hunting. I live in Kanawha County but I hunt Randolph for bear.
