PA deer movement this year?????

I have been having a string of bad luck lately with deer sightings. Early in October, I seen a couple real good bucks and quite a few does, but since then, its been very scarce. Hunting pressure is not a problem on our land as we own 500 acres surounded by state correction land where hunting is prohibited. Me, along with two other buddies hunt archery. Is anyone else having this problem? There is plenty of sign, rubs and scrapes, but they just don't seem to be moving like they usually are this time of year.

Whats everyone elses take?

Hey muzzy,
I hunt over by raystown lake, south of where you are at, I actually work in State college :-)
Anyway, same here, rubs, scrapes, trails walked to sod, and no deer. They seem to be using alternate pathes, hitting the scrapes at different times, and when I have called some bucks in, they are coming from the direction i am LEAST expecting.

Hit the ridges. They're running like fools. If you guys can't find a buck moving now you're doing something seriously wrong. Stay on your stand through the day. I saw a huge 8 or 10 point yesterday at 11 am. He was following a hot doe about 80 yards away....he wanted nothing to do with me though. In the past two days I've seen 9 bucks and every one of them was on top of a ridge or on a bench just below it. I don't remember where I heard this , but I put some faith in it....a buck in the valley can smell only the valley, but a buck on the ridge can smell both the valley and the ridge. Somehting like that!

Same here. They are going nuts this past week in Washington and fayette counties. I just wish it would stay cold and quit raining.
