is mange on deer ok?

not sure if that is what you call it, but I have seen lots of deer on this site on summer cameras that have lots of patches of hair missing. Is this normal and ok in the summertime? I live in a city and have urban archery season approaching and see lots of similar whitetails in my backyard and am contemplating participating. Just wanted to make sure this skin condition is ok...thanks

After re-reading my own post, I kind of sounded like a flake. We have too many does and they wreak havoc on gardens and give birth too quickly. Here are the details of the urban archery season, but I'm serious-- I just wanted to know if it is ok if a deer has lost some hair in the summertime. The deer don't look sickly or skinny but they are missing some hair..Thx

There is two times a year when deer look odd when it comes to their hair, when they shed their summer coat for their winter coat and vise versa. I'm sure that's what your seeing.
