Is it too late to sign up? I didn't realize there was such a contest. I've been around for awhile. Is there a possibility of making some more teams?

Only if you go to the contest forum and get on the alternate list pinned at the top of the contest forum. After I fill the teams with missing members I will see if we have enough to create another team.
