He had2 like you would normally see but the 3rd was with the back of the feather about half way to the front of the other two. I don't how to explain it so I'll use dots to show yall how thy looked. why would he do this ?

Sounds like a bad fletch job to me. Were they all like that?

I have no idea, but there's gotta be some rhyme to his reason. No one would just "not see" a fletching job like that and use the arrow.

I'm guessing it's for some unknown purpose (at least at this time.) It is interesting though...I'm kinda curious to see why someone would do that.

You would be surprised to look at my vanes when I shoot 3" lol
best to destribe them is like this

Exactly what this does is turn a 3" vane into a 4" vane without the extra grains. It does seem to make the arrow spine faster and stabilize faster. I am also presently testing them with blazers and so far they are shooting great actually my patter shrunk about a half inch compared to normally fletched Blazers. Do not try it with 4" vanes I thought it would make it more like a 5" which it seems to fly good but the whistle in flight. Later on today I will post some pics.

Hey brick shark I've tried fletching some arrows similar to that and tried shooting it and they shot very good. I saw a thread onAmerican-Hunter forum 6 years agoabout a guy having problems with tighter groupings out to 60 yards so this one guy told him to try flecthing the vane or feathers 1/2" staggered...... something like this.....

The guy told him that when he fletched his arrows like this, his groupings got tighter down range.....
personally I haven't tried this yet ( the down range difference )but I still have some 2317's fletched like this and it seems to fly very well....
I think the concept on this is with the vanes/feathers staggered like this, it acts like you have 6" vanes/feathers onand I guess that the bigger your fletches arethe more stable it will fly......

What do you guys think??????[8D]
