Sticks'n'Limbs Camo..... Used it? Heard of it?

With all this ASAT vs. Predator vs. Enigma bickering... I figured I'd add a little fuel to the fire... :D

Sticks'n'Limbs Camo. I found it while piddling around on bowhunting.net

http://www.bowhunting.net/sticks/

Looks like a cross between predator and ASAT... actually looks pretty good to me.

Anyone every hear of this, and better yet, anyone use this?

The people I've heard of using it seem to be happy with it.

But, sticking with the theory that open-pattern camo works best, Sticks-N-Limbs seems to be more towards the side of MossyOak/RealTree as far as the blobbing effect would go.

The main difference I notice between Sticks-N-Limbs and ASAT/Predator/Enigma is that S-N-L seems to have tried to combine the two camo patterns and ruined the open pattern, which we've come to knowis what made these camo designs sogreat.

I dont see it blobbing up like MO and RT.... one exception being skylined in a tree... but I think it's no less open than ASAT, especially the 3d suits....

I'm very tempted to try some grey sweats and tie-die 'em...Or air brush black and tan lines all over em....Either that or find a long sleeve hawaiin shirt.....

I'm not saying they'll blob as bad as MO or RT, but more so than ASAT/Predator/Enigma. Blobbing is what you want to avoid, so I would stick with a proven pattern, personally.

Funny you should mention Tie-dying...

I just read an article in an old Outdoor Life or some other magazine about a gentleman who started out tie-dying shirts for concerts. He had a hunter stop in and purchase a few shirts because he thought they would work as camoflauge.

The guy who orginally did the tie-dying is now selling tie-dye camoflauge pants and shirts - he swears by them. I'll see if I can't find the article and post it.

I've used it for years. See no need to change to the more expensive stuff. I love it.

Camoflague is a marketing device made to make money....and it works. I don't care what anybody says. As long as you are not going out there in solid colors and flapping your arms like an idiot it don't make much difference what kind of pattern you are wearing. I know guys that wear army camo and it works great for them. The key is being still. Saying Mossy Oak or Realtree is better that army camo is just like saying Tommy Hillfinger is better than Wal-Mart Levis. I love Mossy Oak break-up and that is just about all I buy. Not because I think I kill more deer with it or I need to have it to hunt, but because of the same reason I like Chevrolet over Ford. (Nevermind about that last part....Chevy's are better than Fords. Hehe)

Agree. I buy Mossy OAk because I like it, but I grew up watching my grandpa and uncles kill deer in jeans and flannel shirts, and I shot my first 6-7 deer with an old army surplus jacket from my grandpa back in high school. I buy the camo now because I can, but know I could go without.
