i enjoy the experience of harvesting the animal the adrenaline ruch and feeding my family also i enjoy the sky is soo pretty and anyhow i also enjoy the woods

preparing my body for my hunts, the long hours of hiking in 110 degree heat with a loaded pack
the comraderie with my Dad and friends

i would say the best part is just being away for the rest of thw world for a few hours at a time. Working and school can be stressful at times, especially when im tryin to keep a 3.7 gpa, so i just nejoy gettin away from all the stress from the world and relaxing. just being out there, dont even have to see any deer, the high adrenalined squirrels can keep a person entertained for a while, and make you forget about work, school, or anything else of that nature. But of course the harvest, and leading up to it from when you see the deer is like nothing else ;).

I enjoy everything
The planing,practice,preparation,the getting new hunting stuff,getting up early,watching the sunrise,watching all animals.
I think what I enjoy most is being alone for a few hours at a time.
I work in sales and deal with people all day long,every single day. While I love my work and "most" of the people:D
it is very relaxing for me to sit in a tree for a few hours with nothing but hunting on my mind. Very good therapy for me.
I enjoy the rush of seeing a deer headed my way. The preparation for the shot and of course the feeling of productivity when it all comes together,the shot is good,my plan worked!. I enjoy the trailing and finding the deer.
I cut up my own deer and like doing that as well.
Yep, I like the whole deal. That's why I hunt.

I'm not the most religious person to start with, but ever since i started hunting I found myself becoming more and more connected to such beliefs. I really feel good about being able to obtain food the way my family did not so long ago. I also enjoy just being away from the city, people, computers etc etc and see the real world wake each morning. Its something special to get to your stand well before any sort of light and everything be completely silent. All of a sudden light starts to wake the wild and you realize all the different sounds and sights that come about. Kick Ass.

I enjoy just getting away from the daily routine of life. There is just something about being in the woods before the sun comes up and watching nature wake up. Harvesting any animal aint to shabby either!!!

There is no doubt that the peace and quiet of the outdoors is a large factor, not to mention the adrenaline rush, but to me the most amazing thing is the animal itself. It always amazes me to see a buck or doe simply appear of nowhere. You are certainly in the presense of greatness when this happens. The fact is these animals are superior to us all in the wild. We could neverhope to harvest one of them if not for our camoflage, scent killer and equipment. They are a wonderful creation and we are all at one time or another humbled by them.

Hope this doesnt sound silly, butthe thrill of simplyseeing a large buck is enjoyment itself. A kill only makes it better. As someone once said, the worst day hunting is better than the best day at work.

To me its the experience of being out in nature. Hearing them wake up or putting nature to bed. The peace and serenity, to let go of stress from everyday life. The harvesting of the animal in which I pursue is secondary. Sure Im out there to harvest (or kill as Ive been corrected on), but thats not a must for me. I enjoy being picky in which animal I can harvest...

I enjoy being one with nature. The closer I get to that objective the better my hunt. I enjoy tracking an individual deer. I get to know the habits and try to find a way to close the gap. Most times the deer wins but occasionally I come out on top. That challenge is what keeps me going. Harvest isn't important it is the chase. I only kill what I can use so that is the way I respect my quarry.

I enjoy being by myself sometimes. I can achieve this 20-25 feet up in my comfortable climber. I love the fresh air and the excitement of seeing deer and other game. Nothing is better than be completely oblivious to the animals that are directly beneath me.:)

The part I like best is hanging out in camp with the guys.

I live in a Urban Sprawl type area so I can't just walk out the back door and hunt, so its a little different for me. When I get into the woods its a major production for a week or 10 days at a time.

Waking up early in the morning. Starting the pot of coffee. Stepping outside, and seeing my breath in the frosty air. Hot shower, getting dressed up in camo, finishing a mug of vanilla cremed coffee, and walking to the stand. It's all gravy after that.

Getting the heck out of the filthy city to a place where the air tastes good, everything is pretty andpeople are friendly and helpfull.Its quiet, and if you want to talk to me you have to come find me, no cell phone or e-mail, no sirens, if I hear something moving towards me I reach for my bow. I do enjoy the adrenaline rush, but it doesn't have to be open season to get it, I often spend time in my permanent stand off-season with my camera. I took this pic 2 weekends ago:

The special time with the Lord in the woods away from everything. Peace like no where else. Special time with my buddies and kidsand fun of hunting together. The rush when a year of planning comes together and the right shot is made. Joy of teaching someone new how to hunt and one of the best rewards.....venison to eat!!!!

I SIMPLY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT HUNTING! I LOVE THE WAY OPENING MORNING MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A KID AT CHRISTMAS. I LOVE THE BUTTERFLIES I GET FROM SEEING A DECENT BUCK. I MOSTLY LOVE SHARING ALL OF THESE EXPERIENCES WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS.:)

Oh wow...where to begin. I love so much abouthunting. I would have to say first and foremost, I now ebjoy hunting with my children, who are still young, but love going out or sitting in the ground blind for an hour or two...it's great.

I guess the time spent with family. Having those weeks where I am with my family in that setting seems to bring us so much closer.

And lastly, I guess it would be the feeling I get when I am in that tree before daylight. Some mornings looking up though the tree tops at the sky full of stars, and feeling completely helpless in contrast to the world around me. Or the sound of that train whistle just before daylight at the base of the mountain. Or the sound of that first twig breaking as the sunlight starts to sneak through the branches...knowing something is coming...Man there' snothing like it.

Sorry to be so long winded...I just love this stuff.

The peacefull great outdoors without the distracion of cars and lots of people. The wildlife that you get to focus on and enjoy. I'd say adrenaline but I'm still waiting for that. Hopefully this year will be my first harvest. Good shooting to all and have a great safe season.

I go along with what a lot of you said. But to me it is the feeling I get when out wit a deer in his woods where he lives his whole life and he had no idea I was ever there. To me that is the ultimate rush.
