You will degrade the performance of your bow as you add fps to some extent. I read where the reason you bought the Switchback XT was because it was quiet. To add speed by going lighter on your arrows, you will pick up noise.

Tell us your exact setup and we can recommend changes but the difference you gain will be irrelevant to your needs.

You can go lighter on the arrows, noise will increase. You can go to a smaller string, meaning less strands, your noise will increase. Lighten up your string via peep, nocks, silencers etc....

You bought a shock free, quiet, vibration free slower bow...live with it. (not slow by most standards, just slower than others)

They do work for a couple fps...not worth the effort because you need to play with them to get the sweet spot...instead of speed buttons I once used the cushion buttons, You can add several at a time to get the sweet spot and best results but again, a fps is all that you'll get, not worth the time.

Why do you need it to be faster?

I dont really need it to be faster but I was hopeing some thing like a speed button would give me 10 fps. then I would be happy. I gues im regreting my decision and wondering if I should have got the other. maybe its a grass is greener on the other side of the fence type of thing.

What kind of hunting do you do? Do you hunt out west where 50-60 yard shots are normal? Or do you hunt whitetails and shoot 25 yards or less?

A gain of 10 fps is not even noticeable without a chronograph. The only thing you will notice is the noise you get from shooting lighter arrows.

If you sight in at 25 yards and the target is 30 yards away, 10 fps means you miss 2.75 inches low instead of 3.00 inches low. I wouldn't give up my XT for that .25 inches of flatter trajectory.
