I agree. Great post, that is what is all about. I think just having many deer coming in and gettinmg comfortable with what you can get away with in your stand will eventually make you a little bit more calm. Don't worry about not getting those does, a buck should start chasing them any day now.

I watched as five does came under my stand last night. Caught me in a weird standing position, very uncomfortable. They decided they liked my spot, stayed there for two hours leaving me frozed in a tough spot, but the excitment that came was great

Hey Lady I loved your story, I ve been an addicted bowhunter for 15 years, and now I am trying to get my wife to hunt. I bought her a really nice bow this year and she is still trying to master it and tighten her groups. When she masters her bow Iam going to take her hunting hopefully next year. My question is how do I get her more excited about shooting a deer. SHe loves to target practice, but I dont know if she can shoot a deer. How did you become addicted what was your experience like, how did your husband introduce bowhuting to you?

That's funny, Matthews, I like hunting way more than target practice. Your wife and myself are different in that respect. But anyway, I am one of those people who will drive around just hoping to see deer. I love to watch them, and I could do it for hours. So when I met my husband, and found out he was a hunter, I really fell for him!<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>The first time he took me hunting and we saw a deer, I couldn't believe it. It was amazing to me to be so close to one. I started video-taping John, and got a few nice kills on video. Then my husband said he wanted to get me a bow for my birthday, and I agreed. Well, the rest is history, as you've already read. I am absolutely HOOKED!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>I don't know how I'll survive after the season ends, I'm having trouble now waiting for the days we go hunting. I have 2 sisters who think I am a complete wacko.They also think I'm crazy for eating venison. I am crazy, that's for sure - CRAZY ABOUT BOWHUNTING!!!<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>Thanks to all of you who took the trouble to answer my post.
