How are the deer racks in your area?
 

I saw the first sign of bucks starting to shed their velvet, here this past weekend. On Saturday morningI filmed a couple nice bucks, both in full velvet, one in the 140 class, and the other 180 class.

I went back out there that evening, and saw the biggest buck again. But this time 2 of his tines were white with velvet hanging. In just a few hours, he started shedding. Give him another week and he'll probably be mostly all hard. All of the other bucks I saw were still full velvet.

How about the deer in your area?

Here in mississippi they still growing but they probably bout done.

In Illinois last weekend Isaw a few bucks, all still with velvet.

Still in full velvet here. Some baskets, but three that go about 130 with the one pushing 140...that is decent for our area.

All the deer that I have been seeing in MD from my trail cam and frieds trail cams seem to be still in velvet and still growing... Probably close though to shed time. Probably will start in about two-three weeks....

all the deer here in maryland are still in velvet but i believe they are about done growing
