Need some advice
 

I just started bow hunting this year. I'm having some problems with my shooting. It seems like I always shoot way high and to the left. Do you guys have any advice for me?

Going to need more info to find your problem. Are you always shooting high and left or only when you are hunting. If its the latter it could be many things...your broadheads, your stance, clothing ect

I'm only shooting high and left when I'm hunting. When I'm practing on the target I always get it pretty much back to normal.

first thing you need to do is make sure your broadheads and practice heads are the same weight.it sounds like your practice points are heavyer then your hunting heads.even when there the same weight it does not automaticly mean that they will fly the same.you must practice a little with the broadhead your going to hunt with.if after you match weights and they are still off from one another(it won't be much)tune for the broadhead.also make sure your broadhead blade is not hitting the riser when at full draw,this will create problems.also check for fletching clearence at the rest on your hunting arrows,you may have to turn the nock slightly.after practicing with braodheads be sure to replace the blades before going hunting.

If you are shooting spot-on when practicing (on the ground) and then hitting high and left when hunting, make sure you are keeping good form and bending at the waist. If you are just lowering the bow arm and not keeping the upper body together, it could cause a high shot. When shooting from a treestand, come to full draw like you would on the ground. Now bend at the waist, keeping the upperbody all together.
For hitting left, do have your quiver attached with arrows when hunting, but practicing without quiver or arrows? You may be canting the bow. Just something to think about.

Do you wear the same clothes when you practice as when you hunt? I shoot high and left with my heavy hunting clothes because the fleece hood I wear on the tree stand changes my anchor point. Also was hitting my parka collar until I started tucking it in. It was a hard problem to diagnose but an easy one to fix.

Assuming your shooting in your broadheads on the ground, and everything is okay; it's possible you may be looking up to check your shot placement once on stand. Have confidence your arrow will hit where you aim, and remember to follow through.

Even a bad day in the woods, is better than any day out!
