Favorite Hunting Show...
I can only get ESPN and OLN with Comcast, so I don't get to see alot of the shows, but I think Whitetail Country is an Awesome! show... Not really that much live action on it, but I just like the "Behind the Sceens" layout...
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
I am in the same boat - ESPN and OLN only and I agree that Whitetail Country is my favorite on those two networks.
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
Archers Choice - Getting Close - Deam Season all good shows for entertainment
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
In order I like Drurys, then Gettin Close, the Choice, Pirmos, and NAW TV.
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
I get the Outdoor Channel, and they have so many great shows. I would say Drury, Primos, and Roadtrips. No wait, North American Whitetail, Bowhunting Magazine TV, Mossy Oak. No wait...I guess I like them all.
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
I'd echo what's already been said. I also like North American Whitetail; they do some great camera work, and always have that Big Buck Moment.
BTW - I didn't have The Outdoor Channel on my DirecTV menu, but I was able to buy it a la carte for $2.99 per month. Maybe some of you can do the same with your supplier. It's the best $2.99 a month I'll ever spend on anything. |
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
You guys alllisted some great shows. I have to say that gettin close withTiffany andwhatever her husbands name is will always be my firstchoice.
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
The only channels I get is OLN and Michigan Outdoors.
I watch the Michigan show when I can as for O L N, all they show is some guy riding a bike all over France. |
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
#1 Archer's Choice for the hunting values that Ralph and Vicki exemplify.
#2 Spirit of the Wild for the laughs I get from Ted's outrageousness. |
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...

|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
NAW Tv, Dream Season, Knight and Hale and Whitetail Country. I would have Added Deer and Deer hunting, but this year's shows have turned into a half hour ofpushing products, two weeks ago it was the Buck growler, last week Scent Lok. I'm really disappointed in the shows this year, they are no where close to as informative as last years shows[:o]
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
For me its Double Bull, Primos, and Turkey Call are my 3 favorite. Oh I cant leave out Real Tree Roadtrips. Thats ranks very high as well... Maybe even number one, but they all are number one when their on...
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
There are many of good shows on the mens channel and the outdoor channel these days. However, my absolute favorite is Primos. I've been watching their TV show and videos for years now. These folks are as down to earth and personable as they can be. Although I have never met a single person on the Primos team, they just seem like family. I think it is because they share so much of the personal side from the "Front Porch" scenes or seeing the kids grow up hunting or just the short personal comments.

RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
Elk Country Journal is my favorite.
|
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
Im down with roger raglin.
also like drurys and getting close, primos truth. Always like n.a. hunter too. |
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
I like Roadtrips, despite Waddell's "I guess he heard what the Encore had to say..." BS...
I like shows that talk about the trip and what all's involved in the hunt... not the "here at Encinito's Ranch you'll get the best 1st class blah blah blah... and don't forget your ________(insert sponsors product here)" Fitzgerald Outdoors is good also... I don't typically watch the "religious channels" but I caught a good one called "God's Great Outdoors" a few times. It was really good. I like to see when a hunter thanks God for his kill... that means alot to me. I'd like to see more how to hunt certain situation type shows that push skills and techniques instead of sponsors products... Not too many of those out there. |
RE: Favorite Hunting Show...
Deer and Deer Hunting TV is the most informative by far, without all the blatent product endorsements.
I also like the Drury's for entertainment and some educational value. All the others are entertaining - but mostly the same. I have been taping a lot of shows - and I seem to zip through most of them now-a-days. |
