I could tell you, but it'd be a whole lot easier to show you! [8D]

My only suggestion is to be sure and not let him know he's being hunted...
Identify his primary feeding grounds and his bedding area and try to intercept him.

yeah i have some spots in the area i am going to try right off the bat and if that fails i am going to back out and wait til the rut starts in a few months. But i will give it a try until the elk rut, then take a break and really go after him.

Time in the tree will increase your odds of seeing that hog....

If you know where he's bedding or feeding, come Sept. you should be able to find his rub line going to and from. Just be sure to practice scent control when scouting. You don't want to contaminate the area, in particular his traveling corridors. Early season deer movement is very predictable, and this should present you a good opportunity if you play your cards right. Just be carefull, if he knows your pokin' around his area he may go nocturnal until the pre-rut.
Good luck!!

yeah i am worried that perhaps by being careless in the area already i have pushed him nocturnal. But i am going to get all scented out and take my camera back into the spot in a few days and leave it for a while, and then come back and get it all scented up and try and figure out where he is going to and from, then ambush him. If not i will back out until november. then run a drag line and bleat occassionally.
