RE: Broadhead Testing Site....
He does have some wild tests and it's good to have some info if you need it.

RE: Broadhead Testing Site....
Ya that's kind of neat, not bad sight so far..
Glad to see Montec getting decent opinions, switched to them this year. Guess we'll see how they do, so far so good. |
RE: Broadhead Testing Site....
I'll have to see what his criteria are; I noticed Rocket Miniblasters on the lower list. While I don't use them any more for a variety of reasons, they produce an absolutely devastating hole and accouned for probably my first 25 deer and four turkeys. I don't think I trailed any of them more than 60 yards.

RE: Broadhead Testing Site....
Kinda cool. Switching this year myself. Not sure yet between Slick Tricks and Stingers.

RE: Broadhead Testing Site....
Don't let the test fool you Greg...YOU are just that good. Even with a crappy broadhead. LOL

RE: Broadhead Testing Site....
I think I am going back to mechanicals. Tried a fixed blade (stingers) and another one ??? Did not seam to make a difference in blood trail and got some strange hits. I would like a good blood trail just once if it runs.

RE: Broadhead Testing Site....
The criteria that fails most of the heads is damage...if it gets damaged or blades dull too quickly in the test if fails.

RE: Broadhead Testing Site....
well the last 3 deer i took i used a muzzy 4 blade 100 deer 1 was at 4 yards from the ground seen him go down didnt track him deer 2 was at 15 yards from a tree went 10 yards and bedded down no blood trail even tho the arrow was soaked in red deer 3 was at 15 yards from the same tree great blood trail it went 45 yards and fell in the creek all three were double lung shots not more than 3 inches from each other on the body all were pass thru of course at that range i did experament with them crimson talons they spin so hard they die at 40 yards the muzzy seems to work great but i bet them expandable work better on long shots
