Older API stands, any good?

I found an older api stand, appx 12-13 yrs old that used the blade to grip the tree vs. the chain. It is aluminum, but is heavy. Has a gun rest and nylon seating. New was around $200+. Will face toward or away from the tree.

any opinions on this stand? it is being sold for $80 and the guy has 4 of them. I am not familar with this version from api so your input is appreciated. He says they are heavy duty and can hold a lot of weight.

To be honest, they have to be older than all get out. I don't ever recall seeing one like that made by API and I've been using an API climber for probably12-15 years. It sounds like alot for something that may be as old as you are.[&:]

A picture would help, but I'm thinking stay far, far away. You can buy a brand new one for not much more than that.
