I've had a set of em for a couple of years and they still smell like dirt, and work. I'm not to fond of the pine though. smell like a car freshner to me.

Yea I use' em and they work great I do like the fresh earth and acorn not bad ether.
I think they came out with a doe in estrus but I'm not sure if I want to try that on my clothes.
I'll buy a bunch of diffrent ones and use them at diffrent spots.

RE: Scent Wafers

hey
RD i think the bucrut and doe in estrous ones are made to be hung on braches twigs etc. but i dont think there made to be put on clothes although if the time is right it may not hurt

I pin one to my pant leg near my boot and one to my hat. They last awhile too. Been using mine for about 3 years now.

IMHO, if you are using a cover scent of any-kind, the deer will smell it, and you!

I throw the Earth ones in my gear bag and on my hat. Two years ago I shot a 6 pointer with his nose right on a Doe Estrus one.

RE: Scent Wafers

could one fresh earth scent wafer last you a whole season, or should i go out and buy some more

lte_622 08-08-2006 01:49 PM

RE: Scent Wafers

I take it you bought the scent away plus package correct????

Greg / MO 08-08-2006 04:45 PM

RE: Scent Wafers

Illinoisbow, I'd highly recommend buying more than one pack per season... As a hard-core Fresh Earth Scent wafer user, I can tell you that after several, several uses that they'll start getting a bit of a "chemical" smell to them as opposed to the dirt smell that they smell like when they're brand new.

RE: Scent Wafers

I have a couple of scent wafers thatare at least 6 or 7 yearsold and they STILL smell (Earth).:D

RE: Scent Wafers

I buy twO packs every year. One pack goes in my hunting clothes bag and the others I use on me when hunting. When the season is over I throw them in my clothes bag and start over the next year. Your clothes will smell like dirt FOREVER!!!

BUY THEM!!

RE: Scent Wafers

if you are going to use the wafers be sure the rest of your set up scent free. I am fanatical about the H.S. scent free system, it works.

RE: Scent Wafers

they work well and when they start to fade i hit them blast of spray

RE: Scent Wafers

Since I am new to the hunting scene, I was wondering......You are puttingscented wafers on your clothes to smell like dirt. The dirt under my house in the crawl space never gets wet and it REALLY smells like dirt, why couldn't I take some of it and put in the bag with my clothes?? They should absorb the smell of the dirt. (P.S. I just washed my clothes and put them in the scent free bag tonight.) I could also sprinkle the dirt in my clothes to work it in. Or I could store my clothes under the house to absorb the smell???? :D
