Somebody help the cuddeback challenged

I got 2 cuddebacks and can not get them to load the pictures to the computer. A box keeps popping up saying that it doesn't recognize the USB cable so I got a new cable and now nothing happens. Any ideas?

my guess would be first to question the right drivers. Did you load any or did you need any driver? Next would be the program excepting the picts. Is it compatible?

What is your computer first? Operating system?

As far as I can tell everything is coreect and compatable. I got it to work once without the flash card in it , but now that I have a flash card it won't. The flash card is supposed to be the right one as well

Try rebooting with everything connected. Maybe you pulled the connection and it thinks the old one is still in there.

I've tried rebooting with no luck, the computer is a dell with windows xp, this is really aggravating. I saw 2 bucks bird dog a doe right past my camera this morning and can't see their pics

You may have to reinstall the cameras software if it came with some.

If the cuddeback is like everything else, you cannot leave the flash card in the camera to download the pics. The cable that came with the camera is only for use with the internal memory of the camera. Check to see if your computer has a place for your flash card, if not, if you have a newer printer that accepts flash cards for digital cameras you can use that to download the pics. It won't work by plugging the cable into the camera with the flash card in. I believe you can buy a flash card converter for about $20. You plug the flash card into it and then the converter into the computer and you are in business. Hope this helped.

Also, you have to put the camera in view picture mode.I believe the newer ones will download from the card. It's the frst or second press of the "M" button if I remember right. Go to their website and download the instruction booklet, it should tell you for sure.

I just want an update on this. What did work?

Maybe this will help, assuming that you have an '06 model. I don't think you can view/download from the older models.

Well after hours of agony, my wife finally got it to work. We tried a new usb cable and that didn't help. She finally just started messing around and unhooked it from the camera and then hit the "viewing" button and then hooked it up and it worked. maybe it was a fluke, I don't know. the instructions sure are pretty vague. It had some nice pics of my dad mowing hay(about 40 yrds away) and some pics of the doe and fawns with the 2 small bucks in tow. Nice pics, not sure I', impressed with the quality of the camera though. The batteries keep coming loose and the on/off switch on one of them doesn't want to work half the time. thanks for all the input.
