Stand Placement
My family just bought a house along with 30 acres, in prime whitetail country. In the back of the lot the woods form an L shape which makes it a great inside corner stand sight. But right now the deer are nonpressured andtend to go out into the field insteadofstaying inside the woods till it getsdark. So my question isshould i placea stand over the field so i can hunt the field orshould i put it in theinside corner. Once we move in i will be riding an ATV alot so that should probably influenceweither or notthe deergo in the field. Sorry it's so long,Thanks for your help

RE: Stand Placement
It's very likely your ATV riding can push the deer out all together, it's hard to say.
Also, your likely to run into quite a few hunters the first year with a change of land ownership your prolly pressure on many sides with only 30 acres...keep the ATV to a minimal and keep the scouting up, the deer will let you know where to place a stand. |
RE: Stand Placement
Let the deer tell you where to put your stand. They haven't read all the mag. articles about those inside corners. If you see them using one trail more than others. That is the spot. Justtry not to disturb the area too much in setting up your stand. And get it up early, Not 2 days before the season opens.
