Shoot Thru Mesh
Since I'm well over the weight limit of most treestands, looks like I'll be spending this year on the ground. I've been thinking about getting a pop up blind and specifically one with shoot thru mesh. The areas I hunt are fairly wide open with small live-oak thickets scattered every 20-30 yds and it would be very difficult to orient the blind facing a direction I anticipate the deer coming from, since they typicaly come from everywhere.
My question is this: Does the mesh effect an arrow at all, and Does shooting thru the mesh at an odd angle(not square, 90 degrees) effect the arrow? |

Man, payment plan or no, I still can't afford one of those things!
If I win the lottery between now and then, maybe...... |
RE: Shoot Thru Mesh
dog houses are nice too but the worst thing about them is that they have velcro shoot thru mesh. i just take off the velcro before i go hunting and then only open two windows

RE: Shoot Thru Mesh
I know they cost alot of money but they are well worth it.
I my opinoin they are best on the market and they will last for a long time I had mine for five or six years now. They are very well made and they can hadle all kinds of weather. |
RE: Shoot Thru Mesh
RD, I dont doubt it, but my wife's already going ga-ga over how much I'm spending to go hunting.... Most of which is wrapped up in new tires for the Jeep, but still....
Does anyone know where I could find large sheets of the mesh? Possibly buy a cheaper blind with small shooting windows, and make my own wider windows... just a thought.... |
RE: Shoot Thru Mesh
Well .... all right
Go to any place that sells sporting goods they mayhave some blind materal or camo burlap that you could use to make a blind. |
