Well my back did that last year and I now have to have my spine fused together. Could be bad I'd say.
Good luck.

So it makes like a loud pop? Sound slike youre way out of shape. Mine does this from time to time when i stop shooting. but when i start using my shoudlers more the popping goes away more. it also sounds liek youre not using th ecorrect muscles to draw your bow, sounds as if youre only using your shoulder. Make sure you use all of your upper and lower back muscles to draw your bow back. Warm up your shoulder before shooting. If the problem persists, consult a spine and neck clinic, you may have some other issues going on that may result in surgery.

Well mine started making noises like that and I had to ice it and and take anti-inflamitory pills after every shooting session. I blame it on years of shooting compounds with extreme cams (not eccentric wheels). Went back to my roots and shot traditional for a few years now exclusively and have had no problems since. Not looking back either. ;)
