Default Trail cameras?????

Well I think it's time I get with the program and buy a trail camera. I have never used one befor but seeing all the pics I think it's time. Any sugestions on brands and models? The Cuddeback seems to have the market cornered on performance. Are there any others worth buying?
Thanks for the help

Moultire 200 on eBay isa great camera at a great value. I got the solar charger pack, recharge kit and the camera for $167.00. The quality is great unless it's raining heavy. It has 3 megapixels and the batteries last for weeks. I am sure Cudde's are great, but this is a lot of equipment for the cash. Good luck with you decision and most of all have fun.

We have started to use the Buckeye Cam. They are awesome. You get your pictures sent to your computer or to a base in the woods. This way you do not have to contaminate your hunting area to get your photos. They are not the cheapest, but when you factor convenience and function, we have been very happy. We almost got the cell phone ones that e-mail the photos to you, but the cell service cost was rediculous. Here is where I found the best price on the Buckeye Cams:

I have had it with factory cameras and all their problems. You can build your own camera for $150 to $250 that will perform like one costing $400 to $600. I am building one right now with an ebay camera (olympus D-380) and a snapshotsniper board, total investment will be under $200, speed will blow a cuddeback away. My next one will add about $50 to that toconvert to IR with extended range flash. If interested check out the forums at hagshouse or chasingame. Chasingame also has very good reviews of factory cameras, do yourself a favor and check them out before you buy anything. The guys at chasingame buy their own cameras off the shelf for testing (no factory massaged units) and don't pull any punches on their reviews.

They also give reccomendations for different price ranges.

I think it depends on what kind of pictures you want. There are lots of cameras on the market and they all work but, the quality of the pictures are what set certain cameras apart. If you want quality then Cuddeback is gonna be the top of the line. I have a Moutrie 200 and it works ok and the pictures are ok as well but nothing like the cuddeback.

Thanks 2footroper,

They are from Trail Watcher Game Cameras (www.trailwatcher.net). They are models 2040 and 2060, one is a 4M and one is a 6M.
