potty break?
 

hey I just saw an insteresting poll question on side of the page. Do you urinate where u hunt? When I am small game hunting it does not matter to me. This will be my first year using a tree stand and if i do need to go I do not want to distrub the area. Any suggetions or whacky products that they sell that work. Let me know!!!!!!

I have read a lot of articles in mags. about that. Most say urine does not spook deer. Some say they even pee in scrapes. I have peed out of my stand the past few years without any ill effects-THAT I KNOW OF. That's just my experiance. Good luck!

Alarge mouthed Canteen with a orange cap is what I use. I keep it in my carry pack all the time and MT it after every hunt. It will normally hold 2 normal "releases".

Just never mistake it for the Green Camo canteen with the water. That lemonade would taste bad...lol

I don't think it bothers them...thousand of animals urinate in the woods each day...including humans. I have gone out of my treestand on more than one occasion and have never had a problem seeing deer. I don't make a habit of it, but when you gotta go... My uncle urinates in a funnel, which is connectd to a hose that runs down into the ground...but I don't think you need to go that far.

When ya gotta go . . . ya gotta go , I don't think it matters that much some people say that it attracts deer to your stand.
But hey when you gotta do No. 2 you better get out of your stand and go to your freinds stand and the crap there l o l .

Heck, if the fox, coyote and bear whizz doesn't spook them, your's won't.

Now for the other. I get out of my stand and take a short walk, according to the wind. My father and brother have large stands and keep 5 gal pails with lids and with port-a-potty plastic liners with the chemical gel in them.
My brother and father have not only had deer walk thru with no sppoking while "occupied" but my father has shot a nice 8 point while "on the can".

I pee right off the side of the stand. I can only do it on calm days though. If it is too windy and the wind gets my ---- swinging, I am in big trouble!!;)
Seriuously, I just pee. I have even had a few deer smell and it didn't phase them a bit.

If I have to go bad enough, I will pee right out of my stand. I have peed and then had deer come right next to where I just went and not even stop.
