ughhh
well i was out shooting my bow the other night and right as i came to full draw the string broke, which cut my face broke my arrow rest and my arrow.I was pissed this is the second one of these bows ive had since february, the first one the limb was cracked right out the box, this is my first and last browning.I have to say though browning is making everything right, they sent fedex to my house to pick up the bow, theya re sending me a new one and replacing everything that was broken. They initially werent going to do anything untill i informed them that it had cut my face all to pieces then they had a change of tune. And to top it all off my computer crashed so i figured i would tell u guys about it since im on my friends computer

RE: ughhh
Dang, ouch[:@], sorry to hear it- second one since February?? when did you get this one?
Sounds like they want to make SURE you are not a repeat customer. Watch out, the next one might be made of C4[8D]. |
RE: ughhh
dont blame browning blame PSE that is a PSE bow made under the browning name
|
RE: ughhh
well i got the first one and sent it back 3 days later and then it took 1.5 months to gwet it back so i got it back around march

RE: ughhh

RE: ughhh
I had a Browning crack and break about 10 years ago and my uncle had it happen to him with a Browning as well.
|
RE: ughhh
My dad and uncle bought Browning Safari bows in the mid 80's with the wood limbs. Beautiful bows, but both bows had to have the limbs replaced the first year because of breaking. They won't even pick up a Browning bow now.

RE: ughhh
well i like the bow itself but i think its just a string of bad luck, i wonder what kind of strings they use on there bows when i save up enough ill be giving gibblet a pm to make me some strings im not taking a chance again
|
RE: ughhh
Glad you' re okay. My first bow was a Browning recurve and I shot it for 30 years before a crack in the laminate made me retire it. I bought a Browning Illusion last Spring. I've takensomething like 1,000 shots with it and had no problems of any kind. Love the bow.

RE: ughhh
Browning makes a good shotgun or did, I have an A5 and a BPS, hope PSE aint makeing them as well[&:]. As far as bows go, it never would have entered my thought process of buying one. Hope your experienece doesn't make you scared to draw, better put it up on Ebay, take your losses and buy a good bow of the future.

RE: ughhh
no i wont be afraid to draw and luckly browning (pse) is making everything okay they are replacing the bow and the arrow rest it broke

RE: ughhh

RE: ughhh
they are replacing the arrow rest the bow broke i read that over and it sounded like i was half retarded, reasoning for me saying i wouldnt be afraid to draw is because a guy prior said i hope ur not afraid to draw it

Welcome tomodernmanufacturing. The moretechnology's involved, (patents and subcontracts), the less likelyit is that theactual manufacturer is the company whose name is on the product.

RE: ughhh
Look if youre going to waste the money on a Browning which have never been a great bow to begin with, you might as well go ahead and get a PSE, I have been shooting my PSE Nova for the past 6 years and have never had a problem with it, my cousin has been shooting the same Mach 10 since they first came out and has never had a problem with it. Quit buying low end and go for qulaity. I will never buy another bow other than PSE. But wiht all the problems with the Browning bows, im afraid this is going to give PSE a very bad rep.

RE: ughhh
Cougar, your not leaving that bow in your truck or other hotter than heck places. The heat buildup in a vehicle will ruin a bow. Don't know if you doing this, just throwing my 2 cents in.
|
RE: ughhh
no i cant even drive yet, i took care of that bow as good or better than any one ever has. I waxed the string before and after each shooting session.Checked the bolts and screws in the cams.I did everything you are supposed to and then some. And no i wont buy a pse ive had one and they are basically what ive got right now, look up the bow im shooting and it looks just like the pse line. When i buy a new bow im going with bowtech, hoyt, or Ross these are the sweetest shooting bows i have ever shot

RE: ughhh
Glad to hear that you are okay. I would have raised hell too. Good luck and look on the bright side, at least it wasn't right before opening day.
