RE: mathews fx
My friend has a Mathews FX and he shoots 85 grain spitfire broadheads with his. He used to use thunderheads but the always seemed to fly low and left. He uses carbon express arrows and I think they are 29 1/2" or 30" for a 29" draw; I am not positive on the length though.

There are alot of good broadheads out there.I prefer thunderheads. As far as what weight, that will depend on what arrow you're shooting. Light broadheads go with light arrows. Heavy broadheads go with heavy arrows. Personally, I shoot Carbon Express Maxima 350's with an 85 grain thunderhead. It gives me good speed with my short 28" draw length. With this setup, shooting a Switchback XT I'm shooting about 278fps. Any problems withbroadheads not shooting in line with your field points is a tuning problem and has nothing to do with your choice of broadheads. Always choose a cut on contact tip over an expandable.
