Crab Apples

Do any of you'll hunt over crab apples I was on my property today and found a honey-hole of a tree with a bunch of crab apples on them and was wondering if they would be good to hunt over for an early season bow hunt?

Crabapples are an excellent opportunity early in the season. They do fall early though. Around here the deer and turkeys really pound them when they come down. Even after they're gone, you'll geta few deer checking to see if there are any more.

I found a little patch of about 15-20 crab apple trees last year that the deer loved.I have a stand right in the middle of them and I hope my daughter(12 years old )can take her first bow kill in there this year. All close shots and no time to get nervous having to watch them come in.They are right on top of you when you see them.
