I have to laugh, that is the first time anyone has ever said that to me... You might want to check my back post on this board before you go throwing around "Staged events"

Just because I've only been here a little less than a year and don't have 1000+ post doesn't mean I'm trying to sell someone something. I was just putting in my own experience, nothing more nothing less.

I tried deer dander last year, and i can say for sure that it does not hurt any. I also think it may have given me a shot that might not have presented itself if I had not used it. A doe that was following a trail that would have taken her directly under my stand crossed a stream and gave me a broadside shot at 20 yards right next to a tree I sprayed some deer dander on... I also had the stuff on my boots and felt she may have followed that trail to the tree. Did she? I don't know for sure, but like i said, it certainly didn't hurt anything and may have helped cover up my scent. I have some friends who swear that the stuff has saved their hunt. One friend in his first year hunting wore some clothes that were not exactly scent free... his brother doused him in deer dander and he shot a beautiful buck... I have a few posts under my name, and I'm not pushing this product in any way, just relaying some experiences with it.

It's a little of both .
I've used it primarily as a cover scent , and also had deer sniff their way up close to me apparently following the scent . I won't go out without it on me if I can help it .

Geez I apologize if I ruffled any feathers, I wasn' t being negative toward the product. I had never heard of it. I thought deer dander??? What market research comes up with deer dander? Why not call it "hide scrapings"? But apparently it is a tried and true product, that many folks use with success.


Look at the bright side my comments help create a "BUZZ" and that's a good thing right?

Relax Gr8 , that's not how I took it , if I hadn't recognized many of the names I might have thought the same myself .

I've used it for a few years, had pretty good luck with it.

No problem here either, I think its a pretty whacky name for a product myself, but after having some buddies tell me how its worked for them, I figured its worth a shot...

Like Kevin1, I've used it for years to keep my wife away. She's 25 years younger than me and I just can't handle it every night, she was just wearing me down. Deer Dander is great.
