Blew Off The Dust
Well I did it...I took the bow out of the case for the first time since last Nov. Checked her over real good, waxed the string, put some field points on a couple of arrows, and started shooting. A little sloppy for the first day but still drilling a 5 inch circle at 20 yards. I shot about 14 arrows and didnt I know it after them 14 shots. I dont have a place to shoot year round anymore since the local proshop I bought my bow at burnt down a few years ago. SoI made myself my own range. I have a spot for for standing on the ground and shooting into the block, and a 15foot ladder stand setup looking down to a 3d target at 20 yards. I started yesterday down on the ground untillI get my shoulder strength back up. Last year I started having trouble with my right shoulder and had to have sterroids injected into it. They said it was from taking too many hits in the shoulders when I played football in highschool and its catching up with me now. Also from too many fastballs when I pitched when I played baseball. This year it hasnt been bothering me too much, once in a while though. Ill pick up the bow again today and maybe try to shoot 20 shots. Only got 57 days left to get back tohitting life-savers candiesat 20 yards.
