Summit Cobra XLS.......I love climbing in the Viper or Goliath but like bowhunting out of the Cobra better due to the lack of the bar.

That's where the Razor might be the best choice......sit down stand up climbing then swing that bar out of the way. You can work up a little sweat with the Cobra hauling yourself up 25 ft.

I had a summit viper and just sold it. cables way too noisy installing and way to bulky on the back. got a Lone Wolf. Most silent compact climber I have dealt with.HCH

I love my loggy. I can't see hunting from another stand. I would love to try another one but I can't see how a two piece is better then one. If anyone out there would love to prove me wrong, I give the chance. I travel all over for my job, so where and when isn't so much of a problem.

I will say all of my friends hunt from a loggy. We didn't plan it, we met after our purchase of the Loggy. It was the best stand for the job.

This does have a climbing aid, doesn't it? If not how does a one piece get up a tree? Just curious.My brother uses a loggy and I have used it, a 2 piece I would call it. It was all right. We looked for a newone at a show and all they offered wasone with a seat that looked like it would hold about a half agallon of water on a rainy day. He was disappointed.

I've used a summit for several years and it was comfortable to sit in, but the cables, noise and it's pack ability frustrated me.[:@] Bought a Northstar Tree cat archer and as of now I haven't hunted with it. Have climbed and packed it for some miles. The summit hit me right in the lower back and needed some padding or was a killer, I didn't know this one was there, and it climbs much better and a larger tree than the summit.:D Setup time maybe the same. Seems to be very comfortable, as much as the summit. It does have some parts that will need checked often and carrying some of the small ones along with a mini tool set will be in my pack. I may never need them but you never know. [8D]The camo was good but it did need some help. It also is adjustable up to 7" diameterwith just a squeeze of the hand on the base, the top is done manually (no more leaning). On theway down you can use your foot. It is very easy and quiet to do. It comes with the same kind of climbing strap (older models, not stirrup) summits have and I groaned when I saw it [:@].I didn't bother to put it on and tried to slip my foot under the side rail. It is such a well balanced stand that this method was almost effortless and the belts stay perfectly ridged not hanging up on the tree.:D It has an interesting anchoring system that stays attached to the standand uses a rope, no clanging straps with metal cinch buckles, and it is quick. Throw the rope around the tree, put it in the lever and lift it against the tree, done and secure. It's a sit and climb as well as standand the bar folds under the seat if you want it out of the way.

I don't think they make a perfect stand and I'm sure this one will give me some new to me griefbut this one has answered all the onesthat have bugged me up till now. Looking forward to putting it through some hunting time.
