Safety vest

I am considering buying a Hunter Safety System vest for my boy(he's 14 but he's 5'9" and weigh 200 lbs.). I want to get the right vest as I don't want to make a 100.00 mistake. What are the plus's and minus's tosome of the vests. I am not married to the HSS. I want to get one that is first SAFE and then comfortable and easy to attach to the tree. I also think the Loggy Bayou harness looksgood. Any help would be greatly appricated. Don

RE: Safety vest

I bought the Hunter Safety System Vest last year . I kinda balked as it was $70 but then I considered the alternatives . It's a bit heavy but made real well . I feel more secure with this in a stand than anything else I have ever used .
A belt harness can let you flip upside down . A cheap harness can shut off your circulation in about 3 minutes . The HSS system is an excellent safety investment . Have your son try one on 1st . Have him do it with his hunting jacket on . Then get one for yourself ! :)
