Will does go outside their home range to be bred?
One of my favorite spots has plenty of does, but absolutely no sign of buck activity yet. There are plenty of fawns around so these does are being bred somewhere. Will these does travel to be bred during the rut or are the bucks coming from other areas to them? This is the first year hunting this spot, so I don't know about previous buck activity. Any thoughts?

Thanks, CharlieP. I'll sit tight and keep my eye on the does. The only area I have not explored is the pine thicket that I'm sure is the primary bedding area. I don't want to spook them there, but maybe there is some buck sign in and immediately around there.

Bucks will travel out of thier home range during the rut to breed does. Keep looking for scrapes and rubs. I was not seeing many bucks around my farm until this week.
