Carbon; way more durable. I have shot many deer with a carbon and put it back in my quiver to hunt another day. That doesn't happen with aluminum. HCH
Yup
If you get a good pass thru I don't see where it would matter. I have re used aluminum arrows after shooting deer with them and ruined carbons shooting deer with them. I have a buddy that has been hunting with the same set of 2213's since I have known him, going on 5 years now.

I started with carbons and switched to aluminums when I saw how much better the tolerances are for the money. For me aluminums are easier to work with and have better quality control. I don't have any trouble with them going bad really. You just need to take care of them. I have had more bad carbons than I have aluminums, and some were bad right of the box.

Not that you can't get good carbons, they just cost you is all.

Carbon....
I'm shooting an old compound .My groups went from saucer to coffee mug. And at almost 190 FPS I don't worry about arrows exploding. I normally had to buy new aluminum arrows every year. With carbons I don't .
I love those things. And best yet ..Walmart carries mine so I buy them on clearance for 5.00 dollars each
Terminators6075 31" long.

I shot Easton XX75 2315's for years.... Now with my new bow, I moved up to carbons and think to myself, "why have I been waiting all these years?" ;)

Carbons are awesome and are either straight and shootable or they're broken. I've had too many aluminums get bent to want to go back to them.

Same as ButchA, Easton XX75 for a long time went through my old Browning. Now I got a new bow and started shooting XT Hunters from GoldTip. I can't say that I am any better now than before, but at least my bow and arrows are.

Carbons shooter here. I've been shooting the samesetfor 7 years now, broke 2 and robin hooded one. Shot numbers of deers with the same arrow and it's still in my kwiver for this year hunts.

RE: Carbon or Aluminums?

Currently shooting carbons but might be trying out my old tentpoles (XX78 ss selects) to see if they can shed light on whether or not I have a spine issue with my current setup.

I don't think I've ever shot a deer and NOT ruined or lost an arrow (both carbon and ACC) so durability on game for me is a non issue ;)
