Primos Bow Vest
 

How many of you guys use the Primos bow vest....I have watched three years of the primos bow hunting dvd's and the vest looks very handy. Enough pockets for most all your gear without having to carry a extra pack into the woods.

Last year I purchased the bow sling and it works great....this year I may go ahead and get the vest......but before purchasing I'm just curious if anyone has first hand experience with it?

I don't use one but one of my huntin' buddies has used this vestfor a couple seasons and swears that it has become one of his alltime favorite hunting accessories. Hes' tried to talkme into buying one to give it a try and promises that after I wear it, I won't want to hunt without it??? They really do look like they keep you gear handy and quickly accessable.

Usually I buy a lot of hunting accessories each year, and I just haven't thought of the vest while out and about...but this year I'm really thinking of ordering it now instead of waiting for the trip to Cabela's in September....if the vest can hold all the gear I would definetly take that over the fanny pack I drag in and out of the woods.

Espically considering how hard it is to get stuff out of the fanny pack when it's hanging on hook halfway around the tree.

For the same amount of money you can buy the hunter saftey system vest. I've had one for three years and love it:D

I don't own the hunter's safety system.....but I DO own the Primos vest. Since I live in NC (fairly warm hunting season).....and I also walk from my back door to my hunting area.....this vest has become one of my favorite hunting accessories. It has enough pockets to carry everything in I need.....and it's GOT TO BE a lot cooler than the othervests (fall restraint type). They serve two different purposes, though. I just put my seat-o-pants restraint on .....and the vest has a slot in the back to slide the strap through. I put on the harness.....put on the vest.....and go.

My vest will see a LOT of action from early Sept. thru Oct.

It's worth the $50 or so it costs.

Not sure what Primos Bow vest you have been looking at?

I have one and love it but it was 50% cheaper than a HSS vest. This year also Primos will have them in the new Brush camo and with Realtree Hardwoods also.

I bought a Seat O The Pants harness last year to replace the harness that came with my Lone Wolf Tree Stand. The SOP harness is very comfortable, but it gets tangled which is a pain (especially when putting it on the the dark).

I thought about getting the Hunter Specialties vest/harness to avoid the tangle problem and provide a vest with pockets, but was concerned about the comfort issues in the event that I would fall. Also, I was not keen on paying another $150 on top of the $50 I just spent for the SOP harness.

Instead, I just bought the Primos Bowhunter's vest ($50)and sewed the SOP harness inside: thePrimos vest is better than the Hunter Specialties vestand I still have the comfortable SOP harness but the vest prevents the harness from becoming tangled.

Primos should come up with some similar arrange with SOP and sell the vest/harness combination: I would have bought one. Better still would be harness/vest"snaps" so that the harness could be removed to use the vest alone:almost all of myhunting is from a tree-stand, but someone who spends time stalking or ground blind hunting in addition to tree hunting might well want to remove the harness and just use the vest.

I bought one last year before season and could never give it up again. They are a excellent product.
