single or double cam
What is better a single or double cam? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each one? Which one is faster? Is the cam and 1/2 basicly a double cam?

RE: single or double cam
uh-oh:D
Im partial to single cams myself....Use to shoot double cams of course because thats all they had.. Single cams are so much easier to tune and less to worry about. Single cams are the fastest right now...They caught up to the doubles pretty quick. The cam and a half..IMO is a double cam....Just worded it cam and a half to sell bows.. Ill never go back to a double cam, unless I decide to get one of those with a 100# draw weight |
RE: single or double cam
I totally disagree with pittbull, both single cams and dual cams need tuning and care. Neither is harder or easier when you know what your doing. Dual Cams tend to be slightly faster in most bows, single cams seem to have a purer/dead wall when at full draw. Neither is better than the other unless it comes down to personal preference. I've shot dual cam for years, shot single cams for years, had both at one time or another and don't prefer one over the other...currently shooting a dual cam, love single cams as well...
Like manufacturers, it's personal preference. |
RE: single or double cam
I agree with Rob both take time in tunning but a solo cam does seem to hold in tune longer by my experiance. I personaly never liked a solo cam but most of my freinds swear by them. I like the the BowTech Binary cam system which is basicly a advanced double cam. But as Rob said they are all good and it is the shooter that can decide which is best for himself.
