James, its a nice buck no question but is really anywhere close to the caliber of deer you have shot? or know that is on your property i seem to remember some pictures of others a hell of a lot bigger than him.

Guys, keep in mind that this buck has another solid month and a half to grow yet. Posting "shooter?" was merely a joke. I wouldn't doubt if this buck is a solid 150 class buck come end of September.

I think that's a very good buck.
I would run an arrow through his lungs without thinking twice!

He would be my biggest bow kill to date.

"I hunt mostly public land, and on Sept. 1 that boy is down. In a lot of these public spots, they're so smart that just getting a shot off at one is a feat in itself. "

Amen to that. I hunt in a very pressured WMA. Seeing a deer makes me feel like a pro. c7
Shooting one is a bonus. The first buck would be shot and mounted.:)

I cant say his age from the pick but he does look nice to me, to shoot or not to shoot is a hard question. I have let a lot of nice 2 year old bucks walk only to have them downed by #$%$ing gun hunters just because they NEED to have a buck.

If he is that big now he will be shooter by the time your arrow goes through him. Forgive my ignorance but what is the spotty color on the furof the last pic? It's not the winter coat spotting already is it?

There are a ton of ticks in the area, so the open patches on the neck are from scratching ticks.
