RE: Tink's burning insence sticks ?

A few months ago i read an article claiming increadable success with those burners. i thought about it but just can,t bring myself to light one up. But then again I hunt 90% without scent, so they are a little ratical for me.

my buddy dave swears by them. he made his own burner out of a piece io 1 1/4 pvc pipe drilled some holes put a cork in the end to poke the stick into and hangs it in a tree witth a bootlase. he says that the bootlace is in the smoke all the time so when it goes out he still has scent out. hope this helps

Don't underestimate the SMOKE!!!! I've been using these sticks for a few seasons now and have shot many deer over them. Last year I was field testing a prototype collaspable bucket and some "test" sticks for Deer Quest Ltd. These test sticks are the ones now marketed by Tinks. Give 'em a shot you just may be surprised when that 150 class buck comes in with a nose full of the stuff!!! I've seen the Deer Sense Rutragous work great but still have the best luck burning Part A with Part B. For a real cool story on how alot of my deer react to this stuff check out my web page

The other day I used Tinks all season and Had two gobblers check them out then bed down next to my bucket. It was fun to watch them. I am going to be using those sticks again on Thursday.

Deer Quest really makes the sticks for Tinks? They market them under their own name and tinks name?

I've also thought of using scent sticks, but I remain very skeptical.

My buddy has used them about 6 times and didn't have much luck till the last time. He uses deer quest insense sticks part A(smells like a mix of fruits/sweet aromas) and part B(strong odor like urine/musk). He uses 4" pvc pipe 15" tall with holes drilled in the side and with one end capped with ventalation holes. Has 4 nails attached to bottom to stick in ground. He lights part A and gets the smoke on himself then lets part B and places both of them together under the pipe. He says deer must be in the vicinity to detect the odor. He did this the other day and deer made a b-line for it, he couldn't believe his eyes, he even manage to smack a fawn on the ass as it went by. He's a smoker that hunts off the ground too. He told me he didn't believe in the insense till this last episode....About $20 bucks a set at www.deerquest.com......good luck

Happiness is a large gut pile!

I personally know 3 people who have shot bucks using the scents, including one that was 7.5 years old last year durring gun hunting. He came right in and put his nose right on the stick.
