man do i have the itch to get out bowhunting bad. the sad thing is that i still have about 3 months before the season opens in ohio (september 30). just thought i would see what you guys/ gals do to pass the time before bowseason.

Shoot 3D, scout and try to enjoy the summer but I still cant get that thought of the first morning in the stand it sure is hard

Here is what takes up A LOT of my time while waiting.

I spent a lot of time on this site.

Watch a lot of Hunting shows

Read a lot of hunting mags

Day dream..... a lot.

Shoot my bow a lot

Spend a lot of money on stuff I "might" need.

fish, shoot my bow, watch hunting dvd's, run and lift to stay in shape, scout with my gamecameras ,etc...

I know what you are talking about! Seeing the new fawns in the fields on my way home from work and knowing here in NJ we only have about 2 months to go! September 9th! Just scheduled my remaining 20 vacation days on Tuesday and 8 of those 20 days are dedicated to desired hunting dates in late October and November! I'll be out this weekend taking a few shots with my bow in the backyard.

This is nuts.

I am patiently awaiting my new Deer and Deer Hunting Magazine.

And regarding the new TV shows on The Outdoor channel...this is how bad I have it....I made a matrix of the 20+ shows that I like and I marked which days and times were most effective for my viewing taping schedule.

Tonight, for instance, I will tape 3 shows....Tuesday night still rocks on The Outdoor Channel.

I go into a slight state of depression, I can't get enough hours on stand come archery season. I've got it real bad, so I spend time on here, read, watch videos, check my trail cameras and shoot my bow.:DOh yea, I almost forgot, I work too.;)

I've been taking my kids fishing and teaching them to shoot a bow and playing hunting video games with them. Watching videos, reading books, article, doing landscaping and yard work to be outside and using the summer to visit family...helps the time fly.My wife and Istarted watching the series "24" on dvd a couple of weeks ago and we are already on the 3rd dvd of season 3. That has helped my evenings a lot.:D
