My boys 1st bowkill

This is my boy at a age 11 with his 1st bowkilled deer . He shot it at 20 yds with a Browning Micro Eclipse @40#'s with a 4 blade muzzy. He shot it right through the heart and a blind person could have tracked it. Two weeks later he shot another doe out of the same stand. I was sitting in the same tree with him but in a different stand and witnessed the shots. He got complete pass throughs on both deer.I tried to post this months back on a different thread but the pic didn't show very good. After he shot this one he said,"That will make your heart pump!" He kept his composure through it all though. He is Hardcore.

He is on his 3rd. He started out with a Genesis that summer, than to the Browning , and now a Hoyt Rin-tec.

Right on.

Ironic isn't it?

They make our hearts pump while we try to make theirs stop altogether.

Man that is so awesome!!! Congrats to both of you. It always pumps me up to see youngsters getting out and hunting especially with a bow. I bet that brought you a lot of joy to watch. My daughter has agreed to go with me this year for the first time. She will be going to watch but that's how it starts. :D

Nice first deer. If that it blood on its side, it couldn't have gone far. Congrats to your boy, of course now you have created another bow hunting addict.

Git r' dun !
A pass through with a 40# bow ? Just goes to show that it's placement , not poundage , that drops the deer . Congrats to the young man for some fine shooting . :)

Thanks Grandviewer, I assume you are referring to me. I am just his step-mom, he is 12, I am 29. His real mom does not even hunt, she is against it. My step-son is an amazing hunter,a real natural.

That is awesome. That is one heck of a hole. it is no doubt that the blood trail had to be an obvious one. Congrats to your son....:)
