What do you guys recommend for mineral supplements?

....without breaking the bank.

Get 1 bag each of:

Dicalcium Phosphate
Crushed Rock Salt
Trace Mineral.

Using whatever measuring device you have, I use a coffee can, the ratio is 1:1:2 , respectively. 150#'s for about $25.

Just make a big pileof it? Or, do I need to dig small pit and pour it in?

LOL...yeah, that info would help, wouldn't it?? [&:]

Don't use all 150 pounds in one spot obviously. Either make several, or save the leftovers for freshening it up later in the year. Yes, dig it up so you have a good bit of loose soil. Then, dump your minerals on the dirt and use a shovel to mix it all up. Just mix it up right w/ the dirt.

We have 3 of these at our farm that we made in April. They already are just big holes in the ground. Already had to freshen them up.

Yep. Any farm supply or feed store will have it. Very common stuff, you should have no trouble finding it.
