One Less Hoyt Shooter in the World!!!
I can't believe it. I have been a loyal Hoyt shooter for 15 years, usually buying their best model every spring. This year was no exception, I ordered my Trykon in January. The shop i go to sell Hoyts and Bowtechs, but the owner is not a big Hoyt fan because of their customer service and other things. He has been at me to shoot a Tribute since the beginning of the year. Last night I did, and proceeded to trade in my Trykon for the Tribute. I loved my Hoyt but the Tribute was 14 fps faster with my arrow, and I shot tighter groups at 30 and 40 yards. The Tribute is definately quieter and smoother, and IMO the better bow. I almost feel guilty, like I cheated on my girlfriend or something, my friends are asking what took me so long.

Hey, if yer gonna spend the money, get the one you want. As tight as the competition is these days, there's no such thing as brand loyalty anymore.......
TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
RE: One Less Hoyt Shooter in the World!!!
Thats OK. Hoyt probably got a bunch more new custmers today. The reason that guy probably took yours on trade is he could resell it right away and make even more $$$$$$$$$$$$.LOL:D
Just kidding. Good luck with your new bow. |
RE: One Less Hoyt Shooter in the World!!!
Dude; have you stolen my computor?? I am keeping my 70#Trykon and I too just ordered a Tribute at 60#. I shot the Mathews Switchback XT and the Bowtech Allegience and I think the Tribute is the smoothest drawing, quiet bow that I have ever shot. The ''beyond parallel'' limb technology and the 31.5'' A-A are what other manufacturerswill surely be following. I have been studying their website. The company knows what they are doing for sure. I can't wait for it to get here. I believe you will see even a more parallel limb bow out from Hoyt next year. This competition is great for us archers...these bow manufacturers are really putting out some great technology; big time in the last 3-4 years. Oh by the way...this new Tribute will also not have a Whisker Biscuit on it.

And the Allegiance is faster still...one reason I had a real tough time between the Trykon and the Allegiance. The Tribute was beautiful as well tho, congrats on a fantastic bow, either way, Hoyt or Bowtech.

I just set us up as a Bowtech dealer after years of Hoyt loyalty I may also be hanging up my UltraTech in favor of the Old Glory.

Interesting. A business call made by Hoyt to go paralell and keep up with everyone else and it seems based on the past few months that it's costing them.Like to see this one play out.
Congrats on the new bow. The Trykon IMO was not their best bow this year. |
RE: One Less Hoyt Shooter in the World!!!
my choices are hoyt bowtech and martin the first two i would get if i had some money

RE: One Less Hoyt Shooter in the World!!!
Congrats on the new bow!:D I did the exact same thing less than a week ago and absolutely have no regrets. The tribute suits me a whole lot better than the Trykon. I was shooting my 3d buck at 50 yrds with a respectable group. I have never tried that distance before but the tribute gives me much more confidence. The way I was shooting that Trykon, I would never had attempted that.
Just curious, did they let you trade straight up or did you pay some? I was allowed $630 toward the $700 tribute. Congrats and I know how you feel!:) |
RE: One Less Hoyt Shooter in the World!!!
Duck, my shop gave me 569$ towards the 699$ Tribute. He is going to sell my old Trykon for 600$ (It was like new) I thought that was fair, but I wish I'd have gotten what you did. Either way, I'm happy.
