Help with Colorado requirements (MN guys?)

I'm trying to plan a elk bowhunt in CO this fall and see that I need to have a "hunters education certificate" to purchase a tag.

In MN, we have to go through a firearms safety course in order to purchase a hunting license in MN. So,I have my "firearms saftey certificate."

Is this the equivalent of a hunters education certificate? Or doI need to find some other class to take? When I try calling CO DOWI am put on a never ending hold...

yes, i used to live in MN and i got my firearms saftey there when i moved to NY i just gave them the card and they gave me a license so unless CO doesnt accept it i think you are ok

my buddy was to young so he had to have a hunter safety card & he used the standard one issued by the state of kansas. no special card for bow hunting. that maybe coming in the future.
