Quiver?
 

I was not a big fan of using a quiver my first two years, but now I am considering one. I used to have a quiver, but it was not attached to my bow. I would hoist it up along with my bow, and tie it in my stand, having an arrow nocked the whole time. This year I am thinking about purchasing one. Does the addition of a quiver have any negative effects of torque, seeing at it attaches to the right side of my right handed bow? Thanks

I like to have it on my bow on the way to the stand. I take it off once up the tree. I shoot the bow equally well with it on but like the feel better without it and it is more compact in a tree or groundblind without it. Iwould get a quick remove type ifI was you.

I agree with Hardcore, down in the texas brush and shin oak you don't have to much room for extra stuff hangingfrom the side of your bow. Yourquestion about hand torque, I never noticed a difference between the quiver being attached to the bow or not.

some thing about bow quivers .you don't need to carry 12 arrows you don't even need 6. the most i arrows have ever used was on a evening hunt. i used4 arrows on 2 deer about 10 minuets apart the first shot was a spine shot the next deer was all so a spine shot the second arrow for each was just to finish off the deer. the quiver that i have now only carers 3 arrows. keep it light keep it tight ,if you don't need it leave it home.
todays quivers are so easy to take off and put back on . if its in the way take it off and hang it up next to you . getting a second shot on a deer is rare i have done it but it hardly ever happens but that is why we carry more then one. who knows you mite drop one. ya done that to. glad that i had a tracker string on it.

If you hunt pigs& want to reduce their numbers multiple shots are easy to do. I'm not saying to carry a dozen, but shooting up to 5 or 6 arrows in thosecircumstances is not unheard of.


Anyways, I prefer a Bohning Lynx 6 arrow quiver and remove it when on stand. The lynx quivers allow you to carry both fixed and mechanical heads. The foam insert style quuivers will try to open a swing open mechanical when you shove the head into it.

Sometimes the addition of a quiver will change your point of impact.
