RE: UPDATE: Traded Trykon for a Bowtech
there's absolutely no question that your Tribute is a much faster bow. |
RE: UPDATE: Traded Trykon for a Bowtech
congrats on the new bow

ORIGINAL: Greg / MO If your Tryk was shooting 281 @ 65, and you're getting 297 with the same arrows @ 70, there's absolutely no question that your Tribute is a much faster bow. But, we know that's not all there is ... Add in a much-nicer draw cycle, and you've got yourself a winner! ;) Congrats on your new baby! |
RE: UPDATE: Traded Trykon for a Bowtech
Greg: Thanks bud.:) I was wanting to try the Allegiance but they didn't have any and I just had to have another bow. The shop is going to be closed all of next week so I knew I could't wait that long. Anyway, I'm happy with the Tribute and have no regret about not being able to try the Ally.
Question for ya. How many pounds does a turn of the limb bolts roughly equal? Mowbow: Your'e not afraid to try a Bowtech either, now are you?;) Thanks Rhody.:D Diesel: So you never told me the speed of your Trykon. |

Diesel
What mods (smooth or fast)does he have on hisTribute and what draw length are the two bows? Nothing against the Trykon but apples to apples it will not (should not) outperform a Tribute. If so he has a lemon and needs to send it back for the bow not perfroming up to it's advertised speed ratings. Mobo In my experiences 2 fps / lb of draw weight seems to be more accurate. I have saw 3 fps but not more than once that I recall, it was on an old Martin Cougar. Take it with a grain of salt though, averages are just that..... averages. |

Mowbow: Your'e not afraid to try a Bowtech either, now are you?;) I did in fact shoot a Switchback, and I gotta suck tail a little.....it indeed is a very fine shooting bow. I particularly enjoyed the grip. Very quiet, no hand shock, or vibration, but it wasn't quite as fast, or as smooth as my UltraTec. But I was impressed. |

RE: UPDATE: Traded Trykon for a Bowtech
Yes, I like the higher wrist grip. I'll be getting one for my UltraTec in a few weeks. Here's the link....

RE: UPDATE: Traded Trykon for a Bowtech
Diesel77, are your draw lengths the same?
FWIW, my 61# smooth mods 29" draw is currently shooting 385 grain arrow at 275fps, 400 gr at 270. It likes the 385's mo betta though. |
