mathews switchback owners read this
i went and bought my mathews switchback xt this morning and i was talking to the dealer about my setup. i told him i was going to use a metal ultra nok xl, and he said no your not!! i guess the follow through on the string lets the metal hit the roller gaurd. that could spell bad news in a lot of ways. i just switched to a sting loop and he said there should be no problem.

No reason for a metal loop anyhow......they have so many disadvantages and I can't think of one advantage.

RE: mathews switchback owners read this
I just bought a new XT as well, and was wanting a metal loop, mainly because it works a lot better with my type of ball-barrel release. I ending up buying a new release and went with the string loop. I don't like the caliper type releases quite as well, but I figured with a new bow, I'll need to adjust anyways. Can't wait until hunting season!

Remember the more you add to the string the more speed you lose. I have a regular knock loop, no silencers (no need for them either).

i use a string loop on mine and it works great . i don't want to slow it down with anything that isn't necessary
