Sure - Pete's Archery in West Port Station, NH. Best shop in a few hundred miles and your are near it. Get on your bike Friday, drive to Keene, NH, styay over and hit Pete's when they open. The ride through Vermont and NH is well worth the 150 miles.

I go to camillus Gun and Bait in elbridge on Rt. 5. they do great work. I have also had work done by wildwood. The only thing I didn't like about them was their hours. They are open mostly evenings. I sleep then cause I work midnights.

The guy (can't think of his name) at Gander Mt. In Cicero does great work. he really knows his stuff.

I live in solvay so the are all close.

My buddy Toby goes to camillus Gun and bait. He says they are real good. I took my son`s brand new bow to dick`s(that`s where we bought it) to have a peep sight put in it and the guy cut his string. I`m going to go to camillus gun and bait.

If you want a bow tuned properly and good service, why not buy it from one of the types of shops mentioned and support them?

My buddy in Moravia (south of Syr), Greg's Archery, is one of the best bow mechanic's around. His prices are close enough to the boxes to be insignificant - AND you get the installation and tuning as part off the price! Walk in with a box store bow, you will get great service, but pay a premium - AS IT SHOULD BE.

Well Steve I do buy my bows from a archery shop.I was just wondering if there was a closer one than going to Tully. My kid is 10 yrs old and I didn`t feel the need to go buy him a high priced bow when I picked up a browning micro midas 3 at dick`s in shoppintown mall for $99 on clerence(b/c it was last yrs model). I do support our local shops as much as possible but I also try to save money when i can.

Mike

That MicroMidas is just what I started all my kids on (so far - have 2 more to get shooting). I get it up to 40lbs for the 1st hunt and this has hooked them all and is a real good tranisiton into the larger componds they use now.

Great quality starter bow for a great price.
