I prefer permanent stands, I can't get comfortable in a little commercial stand so I usually put 2x4s between 2 trees, screw a pallet on top, then secure the corners up to the tree with airplane cable, add a milk crate for a seat and I'm done.

I have a few up right now. But most will be set up in Mid-Late August. I think bowseason starts October 14 here in NY.

I do a couple days before the archery season opens, end of september. I've got a hang on, so I just hang it and hunt out of it.

I like to get them up early in Sept if possible, otherwise the climber.
