Twilight practice

Tonight I decided to start practicing in low light conditions since that is when I'm most likely to get a shot during season. I was pretty happy with the results. I started at about sunset and shot until legal light ended. 1/2 hour after sunset here in Texas. My new Dusk Devil is apparently named well. I could see my pins fine right up until I quit. I think having started shooting without a peep also helped. I will try to practice this way at least twice a week. I shoot almost every day and I believe this low light shootingwill help improve my skills. I am also just about ready to put away the bag target and drag out the McKenzie deer target. I think its almost time to start shooting out of a tree again also. Broadheads can't be far behind.

Dusk is about the only time I have time to practice. After the kids are in bed!

Good idea, and yes....the time is rapidly approaching. After the 4th of July, it's time to get serious. I can't wait.

did you see a big difference between low light and daylight practice? Definitely a great idea...I have done it on occasion.....

RE: Twilight practice

Not a big difference at all. Getting on target takes just a bit longer and I thnk that is just me being thorough.
