Poachers
I am so upset. Yesterday morning during the hunt I heard a few rifle shots on the land north of the land I hunt. Keep in mind rifle season doesn't start until Nov. 9th here in MN. Well That evening A nice buck was approaching my cousins stand and he noticed a big chunk was taken out of the back of his neck. He thought for sure it looked shot. This really upsets me. The lack of respect!

RE: Poachers
Yesterday the NJ Fish and Game officers in W. Milford removed 9 carcasas from a roadside grave. All had thier heads removed, all were bucks. Anyone knowing any information should not even hesitate to call the info in. These are not the kind of animals we want among our ranks, lets put em where they belong. Behind Bars. Lets see, 9 bucks that could each tend to 6 does (conservative estimate) that is a minumum of 54 less deer for next season!

Well maybe we should cut their heads off and throw them over the bank. This type of stuff can't be tolerated. It sucks that a few people have to be so ignorant that they give us all a bad reputation. Boy that ticks me off.

Those does will still get tended. BUT, thats 9 bucks that lawful hunters wont get a chance at, and 9 bucks that were probably taken at night in spotlights (less defenses for the deer). I wish I could run across people in the act to do something about it!

Hang 'em high.
No excuse. None. Nope. No how.
You know - I'm thinking that a "Cage Match" might do it.
Drench 'em in doe estrus, dress 'em in brown & stick them in a pen with a horny 250lb 10 point buck... That'll teach 'em.
Heck - you could probably get pay-per-view to cover it & make some money for the NJ state FGW agency.

I agree. I have been out 4 times this season, and have yet to NOT hear hi-powered rifle shots....(and it ain't target practice either). They shoot em all year round where I hunt We found a doe with only the backstraps cut out last week...pathetic....

RE: Poachers
A buddy of mine just traveled through NJ on business a few days ago and called to tell me he saw a deer on the side of the road with it's head cut off.
What is this some kind of epidemic in NJ?
To top it off he was traveling with a girl he works with and she was appalled and immediately attributed the scene to hunters. My buddy corrected her but it still hurts us all.
